Herd immunity, binge-watching, gender stars, decline in insect populations & more.

Anglicisms, #globalization , technical #innovations as well as political and social debates are just some of the factors driving the change in our language and the growth of our vocabulary. 📈

Another major influence is Gen Z, which is enriching the German language with creative words such as “woke”, “cray”, “lost” or “sus”.

Crazy #facts about #christmas 🎅

Some 24 million people living in India are Christians and celebrate Christmas.

They even have beautifully decorated trees. 🎄

However, since pine trees are scarce in India, people used palm trees, banana plants or mango trees instead and decorate them with bright colors, garlands and lights.

In India, it is also customary to give a gift of a lemon to the head of the family as a sign of love and honor. 🍋

Shubh Naya Baras!
